First of all, I am very grateful to the faculty and teachers for giving me this opportunity to participate in the online course of Business English at York University. I feel very honored about that. In this eleven-week course, each class left me a very deep impression and was very helpful to my English learning. In Sanjay’s “Dynamic Public Speaker and Presentations”, I learned many skills, such as how to designing, delivering clear and competing presentations. In Kiki’s “Developing and Enhancing Your Verbal Communication”, I understood the 7-steps to effective verbal English communication. In Haniyeh’s “English Business Written Communication”, I learned how to write purposefully. In Iqbalpreet’s “Dynamic English Communication for Leading Meetings”, I got to know that how to plan a meeting and how to make a agenda. In Aditi teacher “Purpose Driven English Business Communication”, I learned how to communicate with people in different situations. In Kevin’s “English Communication in International Business Environments”, I knew how to communicate effectively with people in English. In teacher Sona’s “Communication for Viewing and Resume / Application Writing”, I learned a lot of effective verbal and non-verbal skills for interviews. In the last four classes of Xiaoling Liu, we trained our English skills in many aspects, improved our practical level, and laid a solid foundation for our final presentation. The completion of these 11 classes has greatly helped and improved my English level and every teacher in this course influenced me deeply with their pure English pronunciation. All of them are very kind and warm-hearted. The interactive Q&A session and case study designed by them can also make me more involved in it to understand how to flexibly use these learned knowledge, so that I can better master them. In the communication with foreign teachers and group member has also effectively improved my oral English and the teamwork spirit. I believe that the online course of Business English at York University will lay a very solid foundation for my future study and work.
