Establishment of College of Shanghai Lausanne Hospitality Management,Shanghai Business School Approved
On May 19, College of Shanghai Lausanne Hospitality Management,Shanghai Business School was approved to set up by the Ministry of Education in its response to the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government.
Affiliated to Shanghai Business School (SBS) and as a Sino-foreign cooperatively-run school, the newly established College of Shanghai Lausanne Hospitality Management,Shanghai Business School offers two bachelor degree programs, hospitality management and e-commerce. Being the world’s first hospitality management university, and always ranked No. 1 in the QS Ranking, Ecole h?telière de Lausanne (EHL) started its cooperation with SBS in 2012. In running the school, College of Shanghai Lausanne Hospitality Management,Shanghai Business School will introduce the world’s high standard educational resources, explore the application-oriented training mode of ‘practical teaching’ and ‘profound university-industry cooperation’, innovate the new system management and operation mode, and jointly innovate the school running mode, so as to achieve major breakthroughs in the establishment of cooperative institutions and the issuance of corresponding degree certificates and diplomas. And furthermore, it aims to achieve simultaneous student registration between the two schools, simultaneously introduce EHL’s core courses, programs, teaching materials and quality evaluation system, and simultaneously interface with overseas teaching bases so as to cultivate high-end pan-service management talents in such emerging fields as hospitality management, high-end convalescent retirement, AI tourism and big data management at home and abroad, and actively explore the pilot education of Sino-foreign cooperatively-run bachelor programs. College of Shanghai Lausanne Hospitality Management,Shanghai Business School will officially start its enrollment in the autumn of 2021.
Just at the forthcoming first Party Congress of SBS was College of Shanghai Lausanne Hospitality Management,Shanghai Business School approved and established. It is a great milestone of SBS in implementing Xi Jinping’s new socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics and building a high-level applied commercial university. It is the first time for SBS to introduce the world’s high standard educational resources, and also a positive effort to promote the development of the school undertakings in the context of celebrating the centenary of the founding of the CPC. Under the management and guidance of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government and the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, SBS will take the construction of the high-level international cooperatively-run school as an opportunity to further cultivate the discipline-specific characteristics, innovate the talent training mode, improve school-running quality and level, serve the reform and development of regional higher education, and provide high-caliber and high-level pan-service skilled talents and intellectual support for serving Shanghai’s construction of ‘Excellent Global City’ and ‘World Renowned Tourist City’ and accelerating the comprehensive reform of education in Shanghai.
