Online Specialized Course Program of the University of Toronto (UofT) Launched at the Business Information Faculty

On the morning of Nov. 29, 2020, the online specialized course program jointly offered by Shanghai Business School (SBS) was launched at the Business Information Faculty. The school selected the eight-week course Blockchain and its application for students, and a total of 27 students from various specialties of the Business Information Faculty attended this internationalized online specialized course.
This online specialized course invited Professor Luis Seco, Dean of the School of Mathematics and Financial Engineering of UofT, who gave lectures in English together with many international experts in the blockchain field. The SBS-UofT online specialized course program is based on relevant courses and teaching systems of well-known foreign universities, and intended to offer students of the Business Information Faculty with an opportunity to experience the teaching methods and modes of well-known foreign universities. In the first lecture, Professor Luis Seco introduced the teaching and scientific research status of UofT in the block chain field, and elaborated on the application status and development prospect of block chain technology and subsequent course schedule. This course will cover the common usage of theories, applications, and key machine learning techniques, and case studies from various fields. The course assessment will be based on degree of involvement and team projects, aiming to encourage students to apply all kinds of problem-solving skills. After the lecture, students will actively engage in online interactions with our teachers and experts. It is expected that subsequent lectures will be more interesting.
