Successful Launching of Online Blockchain Course Program Jointly Offered by Shanghai Business School and the University of Toronto

Recently, the online blockchain course program, jointly offered by Shanghai Business School (SBS) and the University of Toronto, has been launched at the Faculty of Business Information. The program is expected to last for about two months. 20 students from four specialties under the Faculty of Business Information have taken part in the international course program.

Before the beginning of the first online lesson, teacher Zeng Na from the Office of International Exchange held a student mobilization meeting in Classroom 114, Building #2 on October 19, 2021. At the meeting, Professor Luis Seco, Dean of the College of Mathematical Financial Engineering of the University of Toronto, gave an online introduction to the schedule of the blockchain course program. A senior student who took part in the program last year was also invited to share her learning experiences with students. It is the hope of the school that students will seize this precious opportunity of exchange with the University of Toronto, and maintain a positive learning attitude throughout this program.

The two-month online blockchain course program will be conducted by means of online interaction courses, online forums, group reporting, etc. On October 30, 2021, the first online lesson of the program was successfully completed. Canadian market analyst Aris Feng, the lecturer of this lesson, introduced the concept and applications of blockchain to students in great details. By taking part in this program, students will acquire professional knowledge and practical experience, update their professional cognition, broaden their international perspectives, strengthen their competitiveness, and learn how to combine knowledge with practice.
