Inspiring development and embarking on a new journey–SBS holding its 2022 Spring Semester International Student Education Conference
To promote international students’ work in the new semester, SBS held its 2022 Spring Semester International Student Education Conference at the third meeting room of the Multiple-use Building at Fengxian Campus on the morning of March 3. Present at the meeting were the heads of the Teaching Affairs Department, the Students’ Affairs Office, the Teaching Quality Monitoring and Assessment Center, and the Information Technology Office; the deans of secondary level faculties in charge of international students’ work; secretaries of teaching affairs; head teachers (counselors); and related personnel of the Faculty of International Education. The meeting was presided over by Deputy Dean Chen Wei.
At the meeting, Deputy Dean Chen Wei first clarified the objectives of international students’ work for the new semester based on current situations, that is, “improvement in quantity and quality and elevation in levels”. All related faculties should actively implement the development plan of the school for the “14th Five-year Plan” period. While steadily expanding the scale of international students, they should further improve the level of international student management and service and the standardization of online education, and take the successful approval of the master programs of the school as an opportunity to raise the level of international student education. Next, Deputy Dean Dai Ying arranged the work of this semester in terms of the organization of make-up and delayed exams, the self-check of teaching documents, the admission interview of international students, and the preparation of teaching plans and syllabuses. The functional departments and secondary level faculties present at the meeting also discussed and clarified the details of international students’ work in the new semester.
The successful convening of the meeting not only pointed out the direction of international students’ work in the new semester, but also laid a solid foundation for the effective implementation and promotion of international students’ work in the future.
