Recently, multiple mainstream media of Panama, including La Gaceta, El Digital Panamá, 180gradospty, and Frecuencia Informativa, have reported the “Workshop on Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Management in Latin America, Caribbean, and South Pacific Regions” sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and undertaken by SBS, and forwarded the news on Instagram. The workshop was successfully held online from Aug. 19 to Sep. 1, and unanimously affirmed by trainees.
The trainees highly praised the sponsor and the teaching expert team for their high expertise, strict discipline, and rich knowledge. According to the trainees, the workshop exceeded their expectations, and helped them gain an extensive understanding of the concepts, practice, and policies related to small and medium-sized enterprise management in China. They said that they were duty-bound to offer suggestions about the development of small and medium-sized enterprise management by combining the knowledge they have learned with the current practice of their country.
According to trainee Lorenzo González Palma, Deputy Head of the Organization Department of the National Institute of Journalists in his report, “The workshop has united the two continents on the basis of information and communication technologies. Using the platforms of Classin and Learnin for simultaneous translation, the workshop has offered synchronous and asynchronous connections for 121 trainees from seven countries, and successfully broken the distance, time difference, and language barriers between China and Latin American countries.”
In recent years, China-Latin America economic and trade cooperation has experienced steady development, and the volume of China-Latin America trade has exceeded 300 billion USD for three consecutive years. China has also signed cooperation agreements on the construction of the “Belt and Road” with 19 Latin American countries. The sudden breakout of COVID-19 did not obstruct the progress of China-Latin America cooperation. Impacted by the pandemic, China-Latin America economic and trade cooperation still maintained a promising momentum. Guided by the development philosophy of building a community with a shared future for mankind, SBS has actively held the “Workshop on Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Management in Latin America, Caribbean, and South Pacific Regions”, aiming to promote the exchanges and cooperation between China and Latin America, Caribbean, and South Pacific Regions in the fields of enterprise management and development.
