A Delegation from Northeastern State University of the United States Visits Shanghai Business School for the First Time to Discuss New Initiatives for International Education Cooperation

Yesterday, a delegation led by Dr. Rodney Hanley Scott, President of Northeastern State University of the United States, visited the Caobao Road Campus of Shanghai Business School. They held an inter-university cooperation meeting with ShaoHua Zhang, along with Jihong Zhou, Vice Dean of College of International Education, Rui Feng, Vice Dean of the College of Business Administration, and Bing Yang, Director of the International Exchange Office and other relevant officials. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on topics including business talent cultivation, student and faculty exchanges, and academic cooperation, and discussed new measures for international education cooperation.

At the meeting, Zhang Shaohua extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Northeastern State University. Later, Yang Bing gave a detailed introduction to Shanghai Business School’s educational philosophy of “business-rooted and application-centered”, and elaborated on the university’s achievements in business talent cultivation, international cooperative education, and international business official training programs under the Ministry of Commerce.Zhang Shaohua expressed the hope that this exchange would serve as an opportunity to establish a long-term cooperation mechanism with Northeastern State University, so as to realize resource sharing and complementary advantages.

President Dr. Rodney Hanley Scott spoke highly of the distinctive characteristics and international cooperation achievements of Shanghai Business School. Li Xuan, Director of the Office of International Exchange, introduced the history, disciplinary strengths and applied talent training model of Northeastern State University. As a public comprehensive university in Oklahoma, the United States, Northeastern State University has been deeply engaged in business, education and other fields for many years, and its orientation of applied education is highly consistent with that of Shanghai Business School.The two sides held in-depth discussions on specific cooperation areas such as international foundation programs, faculty and student exchange visits, and joint academic projects, and reached a number of preliminary consensus.

After the talks, the delegation from Northeastern State University visited the university’s training rooms to learn about the construction of the practical teaching system for business disciplines. They then took a group photo with representatives of Shanghai Business School.This exchange has built a sound bridge for cooperation and communication between the two universities and laid a solid foundation for further international education cooperation at multiple levels and in various fields. In the future, Shanghai Business School will continue to deepen international exchanges and cooperation, broaden the global vision of business talent training, and boost the high-quality development of the university’s international education.
